We are taking applications for
Kindergarten through fifth grade for Fall 2011 at
this time. Please let family, friends and co-workers know we are
accepting applications for all grade levels. Please
have them call the office at 755-5012 to set up an appointment for a
tour of our school.
Woo! Every student in our school will have their own computer at
school next year. Thank you parents for your fundraising to make
this become real!
We are going to a 100% digital reading program. All of our reading
books are coming home for the summer. The reading books do not have
to be returned.
We have 18 yearbooks left over. If you would like to purchase one
the cost is $20.00 per book. Please come in or send in $20.00 (check
or money order made payable to MSAS) in an envelope labeled yearbook
and your child’s name. The books will be sold on a first come first
serve basis.
Join us Friday, June 3 at 8:30 a.m. for our last
talent show led by Nathan B. There will also be performances from;
Miss Lane’s, Mrs. Earl’s, Mrs. Fraser’s, Mrs. Peace’s and Mr. J”s
classes.
Friday, June 3 is also an early release day. Please check your
child’s release time.
Thursday, June 9 is the last day of school and an early release day.
Students will be presented with individual awards and report cards
will go home on this last day.
The Gecko Squad reported we had two classes with 100% school shirts
and proper shoes. Congratulations to Mrs. Venable’s and Mrs.
Lanier’s students who were treated to an ice-cream float party.
Monday, June 6 is ART DAY! Please send your child with an old shirt
or art smock to protect their clothing.
It is important for all children to bring a refillable water bottle
every day with plain water. We are asking that plain water only be
sent in water bottles. Students may bring another drink for lunch
but only plain water will be allowed inside the classrooms.
Please continue to save your box top labels through the summer and
turn them in to your child’s teacher next year.
Remember, if you drink Coke products to go online and register your
points or send them in and Mrs. Allan will register the points for
you. You may collect them through the summer and send them in next
school year if you are unable to register them online.
The Tarpon Springs fieldtrip June 7 is now full.
Please contact Custom Creations to place your school uniform order
at 941-758-2700. Their address is 2270 Whitfield Park Ave, Sarasota
FL. 34243. It is important for all students to wear a school uniform
every day.
Spring picture returns and payments are due now. Please remember all
pictures you do not purchase must be returned to the office.
Lifetouch will contact you if pictures are not returned or payment
has not been received.
